My trash reading

For the book club questions I chose the second question: Are there any themes  in the book that apply in real life? How so?

I believe that in real life, in places of the world (hopfully not nz)there are people living in trash, trying to fing something to sell for money macking a living of this.

Also people do often scam people of money just to become rich.

It's finally Over

I can not believe it. All that time spent practicing and learning line all lead up to those three performances. Its a good feeling walking on stage and knowing that nothing could go wrong and then some thing dose. It's all most sad though missing out on learning in class and practically all your lunch time reading. But it was worth it.
Thanks for reading a Shannon Carlyle production post.

My Discustion writing

The 4.4 million people living in new zealand are about to go threw an enormous decision. They only have one vote but it might just be that one vote that changes everything because the election is coming. This election will decide who is in government. With the many different policies of nine major parties this is going to be a tough decision  Who do you think will win the votes of millions?

A major issue that has arisen is taxes. How much tax should corporations pay? While Maori party and Mana party believe that we should pay much more. labour seems to think that we should pay somewhat more and then National, Green and NZ First think about the same as now. On the other hand United Future says somewhat less. More to that Act and Conservative want taxpayers to pay much less.

Another issue is health care, in particular, what age should children be able to have free visits to the GP. Green, United Future and maori party believe that it should be raised to 18 years, all the while National Labour and Act believe that it should be at 13, Conservative and United future both think that somewhat older is reasonable. Mana party believes that much older will do.

An occurring issue is education, more importantly dose linking educators salary to student results more effective than cutting class sizes?. Act and Conservative both strongly agree and National somewhat agrees, all the while NZ first somewhat disagrees, and Labour ,Green and Mana strongly disagrees. Maori party and United Future sit on the fence and are neutral.

Overall I believe that a good choice to vote for would be Mana party because they’re policies for healthcare, education and taxes combine the best result for what I look for it a government. Other policies may say that children will improve more if the teacher is paid on children results, or that people should pay more taxes. I believe that we should pay less taxes and have less students per teacher.

a snipit of my explanation

IALT use spelling strategies to identify and correct misspelled words.
Here is my example:

Paragraph 3- the ticket

In another example a man was using a parking app so he didn't have to pay in cash. Then one day for no apparent reason he found a ticket on his car. He checked his phone but he had indeed paid. He found out a few days later that the business running the car park had switched companys but there were no signs or addvertitments that explained this. The consequences of this was money down the drain and big confusion in amongst customers.

In this snipet of writing I used the tecnic of taking apart the words in to prefexis and suffixes to get the word confuston con-fus-tion

This is my example of my goal/writing.

Cleopatra V11 philpator[ Now known as Cleopatra ] was the last ruling pharaoh of Egypt. People from as far as Rome would come to admire her beauty. But despite all this Cleopatra was a strong woman that fought for her crown.

{This sight thinks philpator is spelt wrong but it is spelt correctly}

My speech marks writing

WALT use speech marks correctly. This is my writing on speech marks. We were supposed to be doing it on a real conversation but I made this up. "Shannon!" bellowed Dad. "Yes." mumbled Shannon. "What is this?" questioned Dad. "Cat puke with......wait what is that?" Explained Shannon. "And that it what I want to know." answered Dad. Mum walked in. "There it is!" exclaimed Mum. She picked it up and popped it in her mouth.

My Making Choices Video

WALA making choices. My group made our making choices video about smoking and how bad it is for you. First we had to make a diagram on the choices we decided on. Then write a script with all the talking. Next we went away and filmed and edited. I hope you like it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWnXK-C7fPs
